Hello, I’m Sandra.
I’m so grateful you’re here! I’m Korean-American, artist, wife, mother and breast cancer survivor living in Los Angeles. Alum of Otis College of Art & Design; majored in Communication Arts - Graphic design and continued a professional career of 20+ years within the beauty industry reaching the level of Creative Director.
In 2018, in the height of my design career, as Creative Director for a beauty brand. I received the news that I had stage 3, invasive lobular carcinoma with lymph node involvement; ER/PR positive, HER2 negative. I worked through my treatments and I don't regret it. My profession in design was the one thing I had control over in my life.
Fast forward, covid happened and then I got laid off. It was a surprise, but this news wasn't nearly as horrible as my diagnosis. Perspective had me pivot and the transition allowed me to reflect and truly tap into what I want to focus on in the next chapter of my life. Today I'm a full-time artist and I love what I do.
